The Official throwing distance for the Inner
City Dart League, as it is for most countries, is 2.37 meters, as measured
along the floor, from the plane of the face
of the dartboard. In feet, this is 7 feet, 9-1/4 inches. The height of
the board, from the floor to the center of the bull, is 173 centimeters,
or 5 feet, 8 inches.The mesurement from the center of the bull to the toeline
is 2.934 meters or 9 feet, 7-1/2 inches. League quality boards should be
mounted in a well lit area, as far away from bar "traffic" and distractions
as is possable, and in an area that allows ample room behind the throw
line for players. The board should be firmly mounted to prevent undue wobble
and placed with the "20" bed at the top.
